Topic and Speaker Why duration of antibiotics is key: Not as easy as one, two, three

Educational Objectives: At the end of this activity, Pharmacists should be able to:
  1. Establish the importance of antimicrobial stewardship in limiting the collateral damage associated with prolonged antibiotic therapy
  2. Evaluate current evidence supporting specific durations of antibiotic therapy for common infectious disease states
  3. Distinguish disease states with strong evidence for defined duration of therapy from those with limited evidence
  4. Identify strategies for using the available literature to limit duration of antimicrobial therapy in clinical practice
At the end of this activity, Technicians should be able to:
