Topic and Speaker I’m a Big Kid Now: Current State of Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus (MRSA) in the Pediatric Population

Educational Objectives: After completing this live, knowledge-based activity, participants should be better able to:
  • Describe the incidence, clinical manifestations, and risk factors of acquisition of MRSA among the general population
  • Identify differences in the management of MRSA infections between adult and pediatric patients
  • Compare and contrast the safety and efficacy of antibiotics utilized in the treatment of MRSA infections in pediatric patients
  • Discuss strategies for primary and secondary prevention of MRSA infections
