Educational Objectives: At the end of this activity, Pharmacists will be able to:
  1. List the most common errors associated with HIV medication therapy
  2. Describe the significance in adhering to a three-drug HIV medication therapy regimen
  3. Discuss the importance of the administration requirements for HIV medications
  4. Evaluate HIV medication therapy regimens based on renal function and/or drug interactions
At the completion of this activity, Pharmacy Technicians will be able to:

Target Audience: Target audience: pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, pharmacy and pharmacy technician students planning on working in health-system pharmacies.

The Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacists is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. This Knowledge-based continuing professional education program (0156-9999-14-334-L01-P & 0156-9999-14-334-L01-T) provides 1.0 contact hour (0.1 CEUs) of continuing pharmacy education. This program’s accreditation expires on October 1, 2015. Pharmacy continuing education credit will be earned based on participation in this activity. Attendance and participation are required before obtaining credit. Any individual who is more than 10 minutes late to an activity or leaves an activity early will not be granted credit. To receive continuing education credit, your attendance must be verified, and a program evaluation must be completed and submitted at the end of the program. Credit will be issued through the My CPE Monitor website. NABP e-Profile ID numbers and participant’s Month and Day of Birth are required for credit issuance. TSHP and the educational co-sponsor are not responsible for unissued education credits where the required information is either omitted or submitted incorrectly. TSHP will contact registrants once by email to attempt to obtain missing or invalid information. If this information is unable to be obtained, NABP and ACPE prohibit TSHP from issuing CPE credit. Participants have a maximum of 45 days post-event to request or confirm their credit issuance. No credit will be issued more than 60 days post-event.
