  2. Review immunomodulatory effects of antimicrobials
  3. Evaluate Staph aureaus virulence factors
  4. Examine combination therapy for severe Staph aureus infections
At the end of this activity, Technicians should be able to:
  1. List the limitations of Vancomycin
  2. Review immunomodulatory effects of antimicrobials
  3. Discuss Staph aureus virulence factors
  4. Discuss combination therapy for severe Staph aureus infections

Target Audience: This continuing education program was designed specifically for Pharmacist and Technicians.

Pharmacy continuing education credit will be earned based on participation in this activity. Attendance and participation are required before obtaining credit. Any individual who is more than 10 minutes late to an activity or leaves an activity early will not be granted credit. To receive continuing education credit, your attendance must be verified, and a program evaluation must be completed and submitted at the end of the program. Credit will be issued through the My CPE Monitor website. NABP e-Profile ID numbers and participant’s Month and Day of Birth are required for credit issuance. TSHP and the educational co-sponsor are not responsible for unissued education credits where the required information is either omitted or submitted incorrectly. TSHP will contact registrants once by email to attempt to obtain missing or invalid information. If this information is unable to be obtained, NABP and ACPE prohibit TSHP from issuing CPE credit. Participants have a maximum of 45 days post-event to request or confirm their credit issuance. No credit will be issued more than 60 days post-event.

The Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacists is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. This knowledge-based continuing professional education program (0156-9999-15-012-L01-P & 0156-9999-15-012-L01-T) provides 1.0 contact hours (0.1) of continuing pharmacy education. This program’s accreditation expires on 11/30/2015.
