Educational Goal: Inform and update participants about anticoagulation and heparinoids.

Educational Objectives:

  1. Understand the possible pharmacological interventions in anticoagulation
  2. Understand the variety of heparinoids available and their differences
  3. Understand the rationale for the use of heparinoids in the acute care setting
  4. Understand the indications for anticoagulation in the inpatient setting
  5. Understand contemporary, evidence-based recommendations for the use of anticoagulation in acute disease processes, including acute coronary syndrome
