The 2016 AASHP Annual Seminar is over and I want to thank all of you who supported our program. I especially want to thank the speakers: Scott Soefje, Tony Palmer, Carlos Garcia, Kathryn Merkel, and Gay Dodson. Also, thank you to our generous sponsors: Amy Keel (who could not come, since she had a baby 2 days before the seminar), Richard McGrath and John Flood of Lilly; Alec Carlos of Fresenius Kabi; Phil Perry and Mark Strong of Merck; Damien Danzie of Shire; Mike McIvor of Medimmune and Carrie Crutchfield of Pacira.
Next, I want to thank the committee members who worked on planning and executing this annual seminar: Deana Dossey, Amy Jones, Kathryn Merkel and Heather Miller. We have been working on this since a meeting in January and I truly appreciate their hard work.
Along those lines, if you attended the seminar, please take this quick survey monkey survey which will help us plan for the next one. The link is:
Finally, THANK YOU to the University of Texas Student Society volunteers who helped in various shifts all day.

AASHP Bylaws and Constitution
The updated AASHP Bylaws have been posted, along with the AASHP constitution and previous bylaws.
AASHP Scholarship Awarded / Request for DonationsWe are also pleased to announce that the AASHP scholarship was awarded by the TSHP Research and Education Foundation Scholarship Committee to Mohammad Adil of the University of Texas College of Pharmacy. Mohammad has served this past year as the student liaison to AASHP from the UT Student Society of Health System Pharmacists. Congratulations Mohammad Adil!!
We will need to conduct a fund raising drive to get the AASHP scholarship with the TSHP Research and Education Foundation up to a $30,000 endowment. The market investments are not giving a high enough rate of return to provide a $1000 scholarship at the current endowment level. Therefore, the TSHP Research and Education Foundation Board of Directors has set the endowment level at $30,000. We are currently at $22,000 plus.
Thank you for supporting AASHP!
